You Never Know When Your Life May Change

Fifteen-year-old Jennifer Barrick was the daughter parents dream about: a varsity athlete and cheerleader; a healthy, happy girl with a loving heart. And if the Barrick family had left church even one minute later that night, everything might have stayed the same. But in a moment, a drunk driver careened into their van at 80 miles an hour. The entire family was seriously hurt-but Jen's injuries were so devastating that the paramedics thought she had no chance to live. Discover how God turned normal into extraordinary in Miracle for Jen -a transformational story of hope and love now containing an all new chapter.

My Thoughts:
This was a somewhat difficult book to read, mostly because at times it is very intense and you really feel the physical and emotional pain this family is going through. Also, I have a teenage daughter, and cannot imagine what it would be like to go through a tragedy like this family endured. But although intense, this story is also amazing. Jen's heart for God, revealed even as she is waking up from her long coma. Their story is truly inspirational. A testimony of God's love, grace, mercy, answered prayers, and their love for him and trust in what He could do. You will not read this book without being changed in some way.  Their faith in God is expressed. Jen is able to accomplish something she has always desired to do- share her faith in God in a great and mighty way. I definitely recommend this book.

Your Thoughts:
Have you personally been through a devastating tragedy or car accident? Do you know someone who has, yet their faith has given them courage to survive and come out on top? I would love to hear your story.
