Journey Into Love by Nicola Neal

This book tells the compelling story of a journey into the profound depths of god’s love; of the unquenchable grace He pours into and through our lives.

In March 2009, Nicola Neal moved with her family to live permanently in a nation none of them had ever visited.  All she had was God’s promise: “I am taking you there to teach you how to love.” After this step of obedience followed a rollercoaster adventure of dramatic highs and crushing lows as together they confronted the most unimaginable poverty and need.

Yet we read how, in the face of overwhelming circumstances and towering odds, love triumphs again and again. In this beautifully written book, Nicola shares timeless truths woven through extraordinary stories of love and grace.

This book is available on AmazonDeeper Shopping, and other online retailers.

About the Author:
For 8 years Nicola Neal and her husband Simon were part of the Senior Leadership Team at Bath City Church where they were responsible for the children and youth ministries. Their deep, extravagant love for Christ grew during this time and pushed them to pursue God wholeheartedly.

In 2009, they and their two children followed God all the way to Uganda – the pearl of Africa. It was here that they first saw poverty from the other side of the TV camera and their hearts broke for the children of the nations living in such awful conditions. They are passionate about bringing this emerging generation into a life-changing encounter with their heavenly Father. They long to see the people of Uganda raised up, trained and released into the amazing destiny God has for them.

I received this book for free from The Book Club Network in exchange for an honest review.

I was blessed to have the help of my friend Starr in reviewing this book. This is what she had to say:

This book really brings to light the needs of the children and adults in Africa.   The stories about the children really captured my heart.   It is hard to imagine people living in such poverty, and sickness.     I was also convicted about how there are people that we tend to “overlook” or “look away” when we see them.    Jesus taught us by His own example that we should reach out to all people.   There are parts of the book that seem to come from a more “Charismatic” type of background.   I came from an “independent Baptist” background so some of it was a bit different for me personally, but overall a great book to read.

  1. This sounds like a great book to read with my girls to instill the value of being obedient to God's word as well as learning compassion for others.
