Can't Believe Its Over

I can hardly believe this year is over!
But I am also excited about beginning a new year.
I haven't set many goals for the new year other than just walking closer with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as well as selecting my ONE WORD for the year!
(hopefully an upcoming post on that one)

As far as my blogging goes... It needs a lot of work, I know.  Because in spite of the fact that I enjoy it immensely, I have to remind myself that I CANNOT always do it all, as I would like to think, and it is mostly just a hobby.  I need to work on prioritizing better as I often tend to over commit - although not on purpose. My eyes are just sometimes bigger than my reading time and ability as it has been of late. I have gotten so far behind on my reviews, I am embarrassed.  I will definitely be working on getting that back on track in the new year, so if yours is the book, I have yet to review - please forgive me.

The past couple of months, other than my family, my main focus ended up on a quilt project I was working on. (Along with all my other obligations - sewing and alterations are kind of a side job of mine and something I very much enjoy doing) A friend of mine had some of her daughters T-shirts from the years she played ball in school, and wanted to turn them into a quilt as a gift.

After quite a few hours of exciting and challenging work this is how it turned out.
I am so excited!! But I cannot take all the credit. She picked out her own mix of colors and patterns and also decided on what pattern she wanted. But I love the way it looks and so did she.

Since this is going to be a double sided quilt, I am currently beginning my work on the back and if it works out will put up a picture when completed.

As for books and reviews...
Oh my...
Here are just a few of the books I will be reviewing soon -

This year has also been an exciting year for a new ministry a friend and I have begun. As I am blessed with these books for review, I have also felt like God wants me to use them for a greater purpose than just to expand my home library or even my church library. We have been donating them to local jails, so the women there will have the opportunity to read books that can speak to them and that will share the gospel with them. My prayer is for this ministry to continue and be a blessing to many as well as touch many lives for Christ. It is ultimately all about HIM! If you happen to be an author with a book that clearly present the gospel, or has an explicit theme that will minister to broken women, we would love to have you donate a book or two. Many authors I work with have already donated, and we are grateful.

As we enter a new year, may Christ be your reason for living. May all you do, be done for Him and to further His kingdom on earth and in heaven. And if you don't know Him, may you seek Him with all your heart and find Him!

God bless you as you enter the year 2015!
