It's A Small, Small World - FMF

For some reason with the word prompt "WORLD" the above song came to mind.
And in a sense it is a "small" world.
A long time ago... when I was younger... and on the mission field with my parents, the world did not seem so small.  Leaving my friends there to come here - a world away, was not fun or easy. It was heartbreaking. It
took weeks to get letters and phone calls were extremely few and far between because the prices were outrageous. But now, even though the miles haven't changed or the size of the world, the methods with which we communicate, have. We now have email, Skype, Facebook, and many other ways to feel as though the distance is not between us. And I am so thankful for that, although my body would still like to make the actual trip, my hands would like to touch the people, and feel the closeness.
On another note, sharing the gospel around the world has also become a little easier. We can share a scripture with hundreds of our friends on social media. Blog something that can be read by anyone. We can truly be a witness, but we can also just as easily hurt the cause of Christ.

So we need to be on alert always, to be glorifying the Lord because we are seen by the world.

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus,[a] the source and perfecter[b] of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him[c] endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.
Hebrews 12:1-2

  2. Thanks for the reminder that we are His witnesses to the world and, as Kathleen Harris wrote years ago in a song, “You are the only Jesus some will ever see.” Blessings. Visiting from FMF.
