Monday Madness and Winner of BIBLE Announced

Well, here it is Monday again. This past week just flew by. The kids were on fall break, so it was hustle and bustle all week. I fluctuated back and forth between two, four, and six kids all week.

I was hoping to get my review of the faithgirlz Bible up along with the others but the week got away from me. So I will do my best to get it up within the next day or so.

Also, I have a winner to announce for the Apologetics Bible.
Drum Roll.....
and the
winner
is
Dawn Smith
Congratulations!!!

I usually say a little prayer before I pick a name or number out of the "hat".
I know everyone would love to win, I wish everyone could. And I am sooo thankful for all those who entered, but sadly we can only have one winner.  There will be more giveaway's soon, I hope.

Over the weekend I finished reading Heaven's Prey, quite an interesting suspense novel.
Review coming soon...

I am currently reading Murder at the Courthouse
Murder at the Courthouse

and Street God

as well as, Paralyzed, by Alana Terry.
I have read just about all of her books. Alana has a heart for the persecuted church, particularly in North Korea, and much of the funds for her books go towards her passion for them.

I am hoping to knock out these books this week. I have a growing TBR pile, but I am excited about the books I have to read.

I got an awesome surprise in the mail today. Last week I was stunned (did I say STUNNED!!) to be the Grand Prize Winner for a Harvest House Giveaway. I was soo excited. My package came today, including some nice mugs, luggage tags, a flashlight, key chains, and I can do some Christmas Shopping too. I can't decide what books I would like to get with my shopping spree. I would love to choose at least one to give away on the blog. So leave me a comment with which Harvest House book you would like to read.

Congratulations to our Winner - Lynne In  Night Night , Farm by Amy Parker, parents and little ones will unwind as sweet farm animals in pj's say goodnight to their farm, their mommies and daddies, and to God. Rhyming verse, calming artwork, and whimsical renditions of favorite farm animals in their cozy beds will make this bedtime book a favorite for years to come. My Thoughts: This book is so adorable. I am already loving that one day I will be able to use it with my grandchildren. It is a hard back padded type cover. The pages are board book style with beautiful illustrations, brightly colored and full of the most adorable farm animals you've ever seen. They will capture your heart, as well as you child's.  Each page consists of a different animal going to sleep, written in poetic style with the animal sound and name of the animal at then end of each prose. The last page affirms how God made all these animals and "me too"! The child will learn about

My Body's Mine by Kayla Marnach

My Body's Mine helps children learn they have the rights to their body. Told through rhyme from a child's point of view this book on boundaries empowers each child to say no when others approach them in ways that make them uncomfortable. It also gives clear instructions on what to do if they are approached in an unwanted manner. The questions at the end of the book provides an easy transition for counselors and parents to open a discussion to prevent abuse or to further explore if abuse has occurred.
