My Thoughts:
I find that often in my prayer life, I hit a slump. I pray, but then at times feel like I am just repeating the same thing over and over, or its more of a bless so and so, etc... I am always excited to get a new book with a new twist or new ideas on how to pray for those I love. I know God never gets tired of listening to my prayers, but there are times when I need to really get a new perspective on what to pray about.

This book is a great way to get started praying for your grandchildren if you are not doing that consistently yet. What things may be affecting their lives that you can pray about? Their relationship with God, their parents, their friends? Maybe that their home will be a safe haven, they will live without secrets, honor God and share Jesus? These just name a few of the many prayers this book consists of. Steve and Annie have compiled stories from their childhood, their children, and grandchildren along with prayers that coincide with those stories to help you better know how and what to pray for your grandchildren. Since I have younger children, I am also praying these prayers for them along with my grandchildren.

I used this book by praying two or three prayers daily. The Chapmans have also included Scripture references to go along with the prayers as an encouragement to our hearts. I would personally recommend this book as an asset to your devotional life, or possibly just to pick up on occasion during the day to say a prayer. Our children and grandchildren are growing up in a very challenging world and praying for them can accomplish great miracles in their lives. It is the best method of support we can give them.

I was blessed with a copy of this book from the Harvest House Publishers in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not required to review positively.

Rhyming verse, calming artwork, and whimsical renditions of favorite farm animals in their cozy beds will make this bedtime book a favorite for years to come. My Thoughts: This book is so adorable. I am already loving that one day I will be able to use it with my grandchildren. It is a hard back padded type cover. The pages are board book style with beautiful illustrations, brightly colored and full of the most adorable farm animals you've ever seen. They will capture your heart, as well as you child's.  Each page consists of a different animal going to sleep, written in poetic style with the animal sound and name of the animal at then end of each prose. The last page affirms how God made all these animals and "me too"! The child will learn about

My Body's Mine by Kayla Marnach

My Body's Mine helps children learn they have the rights to their body. Told through rhyme from a child's point of view this book on boundaries empowers each child to say no when others approach them in ways that make them uncomfortable. It also gives clear instructions on what to do if they are approached in an unwanted manner. The questions at the end of the book provides an easy transition for counselors and parents to open a discussion to prevent abuse or to further explore if abuse has occurred.
