About Me

Who am I?
Good question!!
Sometimes, I am not even sure myself! (smile)
First and foremost, my identity is in Christ, my Savior.
I am His child.
Next I am a wife and mother, keeper of my home, lover of books, reading, and education.
I also love to sew, craft, and have many hobbies.

A little bit of History..
I grew up on the mission field, with my missionary parents. I am so thankful to have had that privilege. I learned to sew at a young age. I also have loved to read for as long as I can remember, maybe because we did not have a TV to spend time watching. Growing up on the mission field made books a little bit harder to come by. Especially, English ones, but we got by and I grew up reading and enjoying such books as Nancy Drew Mysteries, Trixie Belden, Little House on the Prairie, and Janette Oke, as well as, many others. Now, at times, I am so amazed at the vast opportunities of books available to read.
Not having all the technology available today is probably part of the reason I enjoy crafting, sewing, and reading.
When I am not blogging I am living life, spending time with my kids, sewing, and doing all the other things that go along with all the hats I wear.

What is this blog about?
With this blog, I seek above all to honor my Maker and Creator. I want to share my love for Him, as well as, my love for reading and the things I enjoy making. Most of what you will find here will be book reviews, along with an occasional post on sewing or crafting. At times, I may list some items I am selling on my page Hand Made Items for Sale.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you will come back often. As always your comments are enjoyed and appreciated.
