The Hunt for the Devil's Dragon - Review

Africa, Roman soldiers, and dragons...
What do all these things have to do with friendship? Well, you will have to read this one to find out. The book begins with an Odyssey girl, Beth, being discouraged because she was not brave enough to stand up for  a friend at school who was being bullied. Mr Whitaker talks them into taking a trip in the Imagination station. They are faced with danger, wild creatures, crazy people, and the adventure of a lifetime; all to learn a lesson.  In Patrick and Beth's adventure they learn how to be courageous and stand up for what they believe in, after meeting Sir Georgious. Sir Georgious is a Christian Roman soldier, who is changing his community by his acts of kindness and demonstrating the love of Christ.

My Thoughts:
My kids could not put this one down. We loved it! Of course, my son loves anything dragon related. And to read a book with "knights", dragons, and other creatures was right down his alley. It took us roughly two days to finish, but only because I was reading it to them, and I had things to do! If it had been up to them, we would have read all night. We have read several imagination station books, and have enjoyed them all. As a parent, what I love about these books is the values they teach my children. If they are going to read, I want them to fill their minds with things that will be helpful to them in life, and these books do just that. The stories are interesting and captivating, but always have a principle to learn. We are collecting these for sure! *My thanks to Tyndale's blogging program, which gave me the opportunity to review this book in exchange for this copy. I am not required to give a positive review, simply my honest opinion.*

Your Turn:
Have you read any of the Imagination Station books? If so, which ones?  We have read the Battle for the Mysterious Island, and are looking forward to reading others. I may use these for my kids summer reading program.
