The Truth - Virtual Blog Tour

Epic romance, global adventure, ethnic passion, and Christian values inspire this new series. From the beauty of South Dakota’s Black Hills, to the breathtaking shores of Como Lake, Italy, follow the Christ-loving lives of the Casellis. Learn with them, grow with them, be inspired by them. In this world there are men of two kinds. The one, the knight, is the man possessing only strength and quality of moral character. He will never ask a lady to compromise her honor for less than a vow, and never, ever will he consider another once he has captured her heart. A knight keeps his vow, even when it hurts…But a blackguard is a man who…attempts to trick the young ladies into taking him home and caring for him, making them believe their honor can be given away as a mere trifle…The blackguard is to be avoided at all costs, for to settle for someone like him, is to settle for something less than ideal…”

Great Insight on Psalm 23

Step by Step through Psalm 23 Tony Evans takes you through the Psalm word for word, or phrase by phrase in detail. He explains the concept of God being our Shepherd and us His sheep in a way easy to understand and very encouraging.  "There is not a single need you have that is not addressed in this psalm."  This book is full of insight and hope. After reading you will see the passage in a whole new light.

My Mom's Quilt of Memories

I am excited to be participating in an Online Quilt Show hosted by my friend Sharon's blog Hobbies on a Budget.   This is the story of a quilt I made my mom several years ago. You can't see the pictures as well anymore, they have faded over time, but I am sure it is still serving its purpose.  It was a memory quilt. My parents, you see are missionaries and have been for the last fifteen years.

Fearful or Fearless??

Recently, in our Sunday School class we have been discussing the topic of FEAR. We are using Max Lucado's  DVD series that acompanies this book - Fearless. So, after lesson one, I decided I could not wait all those weeks to get to the end, I had to read the book! Off to my local library I go to see if they have it, and YES they did! I can't stress this enough, IT IS GOOD!  I personally, though claiming to live trusting in God, probably live life more on the fear ful end, than the fear less . And that is not how I want to live, but at times our circumstances get the best of us.  I have read many of Max Lucado's books, and I like his style of writing. If you have ever listened to him speak, it is almost as though he is talking to you as you read the book. He sure has a way with words. He can say them same thing multiple times, without repeating what he said previously.

Just Like Jesus Devotional

God wants to give you a heart just like JESUS. He is pure. We are greedy. He is peaceful. We are hassled.  He is purposeful. We are distracted . He is pleasant. We are cranky . He is spiritual. We are earthbound. The distance between our hearts and his seems so immense. How could we ever hope to have the heart of Jesus? Yet incredibly, this is what God promises... TO GIVE US A HEART LIKE HIS.

Judge by R. J. Larson - Review

Kien Lantec, you will bear witness to my followers in ToronSea. The last thing Kien Lantec expects on his first day of military leave is to receive marching orders from his Creator, the Infinite. Orders that don't involve destroyer-racing or courting the love of his life, Ela. Adding to Kien's frustration, his Infinite-ordained duties have little to do with his skills as a military judge-in-training.  His mission? To warn the people of ToronSea against turning their backs on the Infinite to worship a new goddess.   Tell them I see thy are beguiled. Tell them I seek their hearts. The wise will hear Me.   But why Kien? Isn't this the role of a true prophet, such as Ela of Parne?  Seeking answers, Kien visits Ela and finds her stricken by a devastating vision of her own. Her birthplace, Parne, has forsaken their Creator and will soon suffer judgement. Pulled in separate ways, each must seek to follow the Infinite's leading... and hope He will reunite them again soon.
