The Christmas Singing

I am enjoying Cindy Woodsmall's books more and more.  I really like her style of writing.  This book was easy weekend read; a sweet story of love, sacrifice, trust, forgiveness, and much more.
Mattie is a cake decorator and also a little distracted. She has suffered many a blow in her life coping with her mother's illness and now a break up with her lifelong childhood friend and sweetheart. His desire to protect her from more suffering has caused her the ultimate suffering, losing the only man she ever really loved.  Although she has moved on in life, started her own business, become successful, and found a new "love", a tragedy, brought about by her distractedness, brings her back to the town of her first love.  Not only must she face him again, confront the problems, and deal with her feelings, but he also, must face the lies he has told to protect her, decide whether to admit the truth, and allow her the freedom to make her own choices.  Will she be able to let go of the past, and trust again?
I really enjoyed this book. *I received it free from Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Blogging for Books program in exchange for my honest review.*
