My Amazing Friend

When I think of her... my eyes fill with tears (I miss her - we haven't had much of a chance to really sit down for a heart to heart lately)... my heart swells with pride because I can call her friend. How blessed I am to have a friend like her! A true friend - the there-through-ups-and-downs, never-lets-you-down, knows-what-your-thinking, edifying and encouraging kind of friend.

I know she came from GOD to me.  At a time in my life when I needed her.  Me, pregnant with a very attached young toddler, and she, doing such a fine job with three boys (did I mention she is an amazing mom). God hooked us up, at first mostly for play dates for the kids.  She would take my crying little boy, to play with hers so he would be used to being away from mom, long enough for me to go to the hospital to bring home the sister.  I am sure she has no idea how much of a blessing she has been to me over the years.  I wish I had the words to express how much I appreciate her.  She taught me about bringing up boys (up til now I had only had a girl... and didn't really have a clue how to raise a boy), how to love my husband unconditionally, how to respect, speak kindly, but firmly... always building my home in love. She has built me and edified me in so many ways... over cups of coffee and cookies, with tears and laughter... Most especially through the Word of God. Countless times we have shared Scriptures over the phone or email or at the kitchen table. She taught me to be resourceful, to coupon. I thought I would hate it, but I loved it... got addicted as a matter of fact for a while, til life got a little busier than normal.
Life changes, Seasons come and go... and for now our season is a season of busyness, tending to our families and other matters, I miss her, but I know in my heart she is always just a phone call or an email away. And sooner or later, we will have that cup of coffee together again.  Our kids are growing up... Time is passing... Life goes on... but memories of our times together linger forever in the heart.

SHE is a truly amazing woman. She inspires me, encourages me strive for my goals and dreams, motivates me to live for my Lord and Savior. And what would she say about this... Her very own words... "ohhhh, you r sweet! Thank you! Though the truth is i just know the amazing One!"  And she does, she is Amazing because HE created her to be! A beautiful friend inside and out.  One of a kind... my friend - Beth.
I love you and your family.  Thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed on me. Thank you for your friendship.

I am already loving that one day I will be able to use it with my grandchildren. It is a hard back padded type cover. The pages are board book style with beautiful illustrations, brightly colored and full of the most adorable farm animals you've ever seen. They will capture your heart, as well as you child's.  Each page consists of a different animal going to sleep, written in poetic style with the animal sound and name of the animal at then end of each prose. The last page affirms how God made all these animals and "me too"! The child will learn about

My Body's Mine by Kayla Marnach

My Body's Mine helps children learn they have the rights to their body. Told through rhyme from a child's point of view this book on boundaries empowers each child to say no when others approach them in ways that make them uncomfortable. It also gives clear instructions on what to do if they are approached in an unwanted manner. The questions at the end of the book provides an easy transition for counselors and parents to open a discussion to prevent abuse or to further explore if abuse has occurred.
