Is Ten Million Dollars Worth It?

This book kept me hooked til the end. Jared Neaton, broke off from a large law firm and started out on his own. He lost alot in a big case and is not quite sure how he will recover. The opportunity of  a lifetime comes up, but are the risks too great?  Erin Larson's father passed away. While going through his safe deposit box she finds a deposit slip for ten million dollars. The glitch? No one claims to know anything about it. No one ever heard him talk of the money; he did not live like a rich man; and the bank claims the deposit was never made.  After several lawyers, threats to her life, vandalism, and dead ends can Erin get anyone else to take the case?  Even with all the risks involved Jared goes out on a limb. But it is not just about the money, to Jared it is much more.  Knowing from personal experience how a parents choices affect a child, Jared has to find out for Erin where her father got the money and why he chose to keep it. Even if it costs him his business, family, and friends.

This book was a very enjoyable read. It had a lot of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat and reading. Although it is pretty logical they will figure out the mystery, at times it keeps you wondering if it will turn out the way you want. There is constantly a new twist taking place. The ending was a bit unpredictable.  The legal terminology was not so deep it wasn't understandable.  I also enjoyed that this book was not necessarily a romantic novel. As a matter of fact it really doesn't include much romance at all. It was definitely just a good drama.

Todd Johnson is a new author and this is his debut novel.

*I received this book from Bethany House for the purpose of my review. I am not required to give a positive review.*
