She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind
-Does Anybody Hear Her by Casting Crowns
When I first met her, she was just a young girl, but already with a life full of heartaches deeper than I could imagine. She came and went, as the time passed. I never really had much opportunity to get to know her.

She finally married and moved away... but her "happily ever after" was an illusion. She returned.
Lately, the burden on my heart for her has grown. She often crosses my mind, and I have been praying that somehow God would give me opportunities to reach her. She is shy, and doesn't talk much. I rarely get an opportunity to speak directly to her, much less have a real conversation. As I pass her house on my morning walks I ask God...
"How can I reach out to her?" (we don't have much in common it seems... or do we?)
"How can I share with her what she really needs?" (the only one who can fill the emptiness - Jesus)
From all outward appearances... she is content in her way of life, doesn't seem to be looking or searching for God.
And Yet...
What if ...
Deep Down...
The outward is just a mask for what is missing on the inside? (life without Him is always void)
God has put her on my heart for a reason.
This month I signed up for Dayspring's Inspired Deals. I received Holley Gerth's Devotional - God's Heart for You, and the Daybrightner. At first I thought they would make great Christmas gifts...
but today as I was having my devotions a thought struck me (Holy Spirit inspired I am sure).

"That is what she needs! To know God's heart for her."
She needs to hear what I have been longing to share:
In God's eyes YOU ARE:
- Wonderfully Made
- Forgiven
- Loved
- Redeemed
- Chosen
- Free
- Valuable
I am so excited to have this little book to share. I read Holley's book You're Already Amazing and it was so much encouragement to me. (I happen to be very insecure) This devotional is a mini version of the book, and I am praying it will be an encouragement to her. That she will know Her Creator cares- He wants to be her Heavenly Father and is waiting for her with open arms.
I am so grateful for Dayspring's willingness to share these amazing tools. I love Dayspring's products (and am not required to say that : )
If you took the time to read this far, will you please pray for HER. I know God's plans for her life are AMAZING!
