Giveaway to Celebrate A New Year!

My books are piling up...
I love to read, but sometimes am not sure what to do with my books when I am finished.
I usually donate my books to our church library, and loan them out to friends, but thought it would be fun to start the year with a book giveaway.
I have found at least 5 books that I can include. These books are great! Below you will find a picture of the book and a description. I may add a few more if I find any before this giveaway is up!

To enter to win one of these books,
1. Leave me a comment telling me which book you think you would like.
If you want extra entries
2. Leave a comment on one of the other posts on my blog.
You get one entry per comment.
3. Share with a friend and let me know you shared.

I will pick 5 winners.
I will match winners with books in the order they are chosen. So you may or may not get your favorite book.
Giveaway will end January 28, 2013
Open to US entries ONLY

Thanks! Have fun!  Scroll to the end of post and click on other links to win MORE fun stuff!!

Here they are:
By T. L. Higley
Petra
Cassia, a destitute young woman in need of hope, seeks refuge for her little boy in Petra, home of his dead father’s estranged family and capital of the flourishing Arabian empire. Surely this rock-carved city, hidden away between towering sandstone cliffs, can protect them from their past and provide for their future.

But the boy’s father was not the man she believed, and when a murderous queen plots to take Cassia’s son, her hopes of security are ripped away.
As the plot against the young Alexander unfolds, Cassia finds unexpected allies in the mysterious followers of The Way, who sacrifice everything to help Cassia rescue her son from the queen and her pagan gods. But it will take more than these new friends to save her son. It will take a power beyond any Cassia has known—and a faith that can save a city.

City of the Dead
In the blistering desert sands, tens of thousands toil to raise the Great Pyramid of Giza. Hemiunu, the pyramid’s meticulous architect, is consumed by the massive project and his allegiance to his cousin Khufu, Pharaoh of Egypt.

But when a sadistic killer known as Anubis begins preying upon Hemi’s closest friends, a dark secret tangled in love and mystery threatens to stir up a past Hemi cannot forget and uncover a secret he can no longer deny – a secret that may well destroy an entire kingdom

Guardian of the Flame
Alexandria, 48 BC. Sophia has spent nearly twenty years as the keeper of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, alone in her task and in her heart. But when the wealthy capital of Egypt is invaded by Julius Caesar and his Roman legion, Sophia’s peace is shattered and her lighthouse invaded.

The Roman general would steal both her country and its queen, the Greek Cleopatra, and when his military strategy endangers the city’s best scholars and their secret invention, Sophia must discover a way to protect the men.
But as the city prepares for inevitable war, Sophia finds that the Roman centurion tasked with invading her lighthouse is also invading her heart.

Journeys to Mother Love
Women readers are sure to find themselves in one or more of these true stories filled with grit and grace. The courageous authors of JOURNEYS TO MOTHER LOVE aren't merely venting about their mother wounds. Neither are they giving pat answers. The hurts were real and the healing was real.

From manipulation to abandonment, from neglect to favoritism, from mental illness to emotional distance, from abortion to Alzheimer's, these nine women from several generations, tell their personal stories with heart-wrenching honesty. Each had hurts and conflicts in their mother/daughter relationship that left them wounded and affected their relationships with others. Each tells how, with God's help, they experienced healing and new freedom to give and receive.

Walking in Trust
Gayle shares stories of her life with Sage, then draws out principles from the stories and from scriptures that apply to our daily lives. Chapter titles include: Patience, Wisdom, Obedience, Forgiveness, Friendship, Courage, Loyalty, Faithfulness, Respect, Self-Control, Contentment, Gratitude, Perseverance

My Body's Mine by Kayla Marnach

My Body's Mine helps children learn they have the rights to their body. Told through rhyme from a child's point of view this book on boundaries empowers each child to say no when others approach them in ways that make them uncomfortable. It also gives clear instructions on what to do if they are approached in an unwanted manner. The questions at the end of the book provides an easy transition for counselors and parents to open a discussion to prevent abuse or to further explore if abuse has occurred.
