Tony Evans takes you through the Psalm word for word, or phrase by phrase in detail. He explains the concept of God being our Shepherd and us His sheep in a way easy to understand and very encouraging. "There is not a single need you have that is not addressed in this psalm." This book is full of insight and hope. After reading you will see the passage in a whole new light.

Personally, I am a big fan of Tony Evans! I have never read any of his books before but we have used quite a bit of his material in our Sunday school class at church.  He has his own way of explaining things, that really helps you understand. He is also pretty humorous! I really enjoyed this short book on Psalm 23. It is only about 90 pages long. He dissects each section and enhances it in a way you probably never heard before. He discusses how our God is all we need to meet our spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. This is a very quick read, or a great book to share with friends.
