Just Like Jesus Devotional

God wants to give you a heart just like JESUS.

He is pure.
We are greedy.
He is peaceful.
We are hassled.
 He is purposeful.
We are distracted.
He is pleasant.
We are cranky.
He is spiritual.
We are earthbound.

The distance between our hearts and his seems so immense. How could we ever hope to have the heart of Jesus?
Yet incredibly, this is what God promises...
TO GIVE US A HEART LIKE HIS.

I love devotionals! I usual read straight from my Bible, but pretty much every day I use some type of devotional also, either in the morning or evening.  I also really like Max Lucado style. So what can I say about this devotional. I like it. Max starts out with a verse. Then he give a little thought to go along with that verse. Next a few sets of questions, then another verse and some room to reflect. This is a thought provoking devotional.  How can we be more like Jesus? I know I have alot to learn. I need to be more loving, more forgiving, demonstrate more grace, be more compassionate, the list goes on and on. But I feel so inadequate and fall so short. Jesus wants me to be like Him. This devotional is a help to accomplishing that purpose.

I received this book from Book Sneeze and Thomas Nelson Publishers for the purpose of review. All opinions are my own.

This devotional can accompany the book Just Like Jesus. Both the devotional  and the book can be purchased from Amazon or Thomas Nelson.

    1. I did not read it like a 30 day devotional but also not all at once. Several of the devotionals focus on the same themes, usually 3 or 4 at a time, so I read those together. But I am pretty sure this will be a re-read for me in the future.
