Ruffled Scarf

After reading about how easy it was to make these ruffled scarves on my friend Sharon's blog, Hobbies on a Budget, I have been dying to try one. Last week, my daughter and I had to make a quick trip to the dentist and stopped off at Hobby Lobby to pick up some yarn.

This yarn is so cool! It is like netting. You can knit it, or crochet it. And there are all kinds of cool projects out there you can make with it, including scarves, purses, skirts and much more.

I let my daughter choose whether she wanted the knitted or crocheted look since they turn out a little different and she opted for the crocheted look.

This week we took a field trip to Nashville, and it was a great opportunity to take along my crochet hook and the yarn.  I was car-pooling, so was blessed not to have to drive. It probably took me around an hour or maybe a little more to finish this awesome lime green scarf.  It is very simple to make. You can find all kinds of tutorials on YouTube or just hop on over to Sharon's Blog to get some pointers. It takes on skein of yarn a little effort and you will have a beautiful scarf to wear or give as a gift.

Have you made one of these yet? I would love to hear about your experience.
