It just depends on the Bible, and the need that arises. If you have a child who loves music, you will love this Bible!!  This Bible is such a great encouragement for kids to memorize Scripture. The Bible itself is NLT New Living Translation but it includes 100 core Scriptures for memorization. These are printed within the Bible in key locations alongside the corresponding places in the Bible itself. They are written in three translations NLT, NIV, and KJV. They have been bordered in green to stand out, and some of those locations also have a devotional type application along with the verses. Each verse has a song that goes along with it which is accessible online using the code in the front of the Bible. Your child will be able to sing their way to Scripture memorization. Personally, I think this aspect is awesome, since at least one of my children learn best in song.

I gotta tell ya, at first I loved this Bible. I love reading God's Word, and I am also one of those people who loves to doodle. You will find me doodling as I take notes during services, and if I sit for long with a paper and pen, I will be doodling. So this Bible, to me, was right down my alley. I am also a note-taker, and most all of my Bibles over the years are highlighted, colored, written in the margins. There is rarely a "clean" page. I have been wanting to check out one of these Bibles for a long time. And given the opportunity, I jumped on it. There are enough illustrations in this Bible to last you a long time, close to two years if you colored a page a day. There are lines for note-taking, and space to make your own doodles or designs. The back contains bullet notes, a daily Bible reading plan, and a concordance. And the Holman Christian Standard is a version I enjoy reading. my design

This Bible is a very nice attractive Bible for girls. With a beautiful cover of blue that has a velvety feel bound with glittery silver and the word LOVE in pink, it will be the pride of those who carry it. The back cover has a cruise and the words "bold faith". I got it for one of my granddaughters, but my daughter wanted one too after taking a look at it. It contains the entire Bible in the New Living Translation version. Although that is not my particularly favorite version of the Bible to read it is a bit easier to understand than some. I did read through some of my favorite passages to make sure the meaning was still clear.  For example Ephesians 2:8-9 reads like this: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

There were not many under sea inserts, but it does contain three brightly colored inserts with things like: Famous children of the Bible, A,B,C' s of salvation, Love passage for kids, The Lord's Prayer, and the Ten Commandments for Kids. There's a dictionary in the back and a page containing listed great Bible stories. Overall, this is a pretty cut and dry simple Bible. Not much fluff. No adde...
