Jennifer by Dee Henderson - Review

Disclosure: The FTC require you to be informed up front that this post contains some advertisement.

This is the first book I have had the opportunity to read by Dee Henderson. What I can say is that I will be looking for the next book in the series very soon. This book is just a short novella I guess that kind of introduces you to the youngest member of the O'Malley family - Jennifer.

Jennifer is a pediatrician who works with cancer patients. She is very dedicated to  her career.  She meets Tom, a surgeon and they hit it off. Tom is a Christian, but does not push his faith on Jennifer. He gives her time and space to decide what to believe. As Jennifer begins her faith journey, it will be tested beyond what she can possibly imagine. Will her young faith survive?

This book is available online through Bethany House and on Amazon

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this short story. It held my attention even though there was not alot of drama. I loved the way Jennifer cared about her patients.  I loved the way Tom introduced his faith to her and challenged her to seek God, but did not push her or make her feel uncomfortable because she did not yet believe as he did. I love how they were friends, and the possibility that their friendship could lead to something else, but it was not a swipe you off your feet romance. And the big test of faith. Something everyone seems to go through at some point in their life. Whether God is really good, do you trust Him, or is everything you thought you believed going to fall apart and fail you? Dee has an amazing style of writing and I can't wait to get a hold of Book 1 of the O'Malley series. This book was a great introduction and just to wet my appetite for more.

About the Author:
Dee Henderson is the author of eighteen novels, including New York Times bestseller Full Disclosure and the acclaimed O'Malley series and the Uncommon Heroes series. Her books have won or been nominated for several prestigious industry awards. Dee is a lifelong resident of Illinois.
