Music is the magical entry into the spirit world; the golden gate into the Kingdom of God. But we mustn’t be of the mindset that God only uses Christian music to reach out and touch our mind, heart and spirit. God uses any and every means available to speak to His children.
Our job is to be open and receptive.

In this devotional, Pamela S Thibodeaux shares how God opened her spirit to a deeper understanding of the abundance of His grace and mercy through the words of the song, The Rose sung by Country & Western artist Conway Twitty. Pamela offers Seeds to Ponder and a prayer as she parallels the love of God and the Christian life to each verse of the song.

Pam began writing over thirty years ago and her career has evolved from writer to author to a multi-dimensional business. She is multi-published in fiction and non-fiction. Her writing has been tagged as "Inspirational with an Edge" (tm) and reviewed as “Steamier and grittier than the typical Christian without decreasing the message.
A committed Christian, she firmly believes in God and His promises. God is very real to her and she feels that people today need and want to hear more of His truths wherever they can glean them. Although her writing is Inspirational, she does her best to encourage readers to develop a personal relationship with God.
The deepest desire of her heart is to glorify God and to get His message of faith, trust and forgiveness to a hurting world. Her hope is that all of her stories will touch the lives of everyone who reads them and – in some way – bring them a truer knowledge of God and urge them into a closer walk with Him. Music is a form of worship that ushers us into the presence of God. When God desires to speak to us, He uses a variety of methods including music. For Pam, the music was the country song Love is a Rose by Conway Twitter, that opened her spirit to a deeper understanding of God's grace and mercy. In her devotional, Pam takes each line of the song and expresses it with a verse God put on her heart. She then broadens it with a devotional, a thought to ponder, and a prayer. Although I primarily listen to gospel, I was drawn to this book because my husband loves music and country is his favorite genre. This is one song he sang years ago with his band, and my curiosity of how Pam took spiritual truths from this song was aroused. I enjoyed getting a new perspective on this song, and think this devotional would be a great way to reach out to those who maybe a bit skeptical about Christianity and more difficult to reach by just handing them a regular devotional. Pam talks extensively about God's love.
I was blessed with this book (e-version) by the author in exchange for my honest opinion. I am not required to give a positive review.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed Love is a Rose and pray you will be blessed each time you read it.
