Every year I try to take advantage of opportunities to share with others and to tell the kids about the True Reason why we Celebrate Easter.
Something other than the commercialism that seems to be everywhere.
So we made Resurrection Rolls.
They are so simple and taste good and most of all tell a powerful story.
They are so simple and taste good and most of all tell a powerful story.
(I did it on Thursday, because I just believe that was the day Jesus died)
Ingredients - Marshmallows - which symbolize the body of Jesus,
And Crescent Rolls - Which symbolize the cloths they wrapped him in.
Step one - Roll marshmallows in butter (representing oils)
and cinnamon (representing spices)
Step two - wrap tightly in crescent rolls,
make sure none of marshmallow is sticking out
Step three - Put in the oven (at whatever temp/time the crescent rolls should be baked)
- symbolizing the body laid in the tomb.
At this point you can walk away - reminding them Jesus was in the tomb - three days and three nights.
We just waited and ate popcorn.
(it was time for bedtime snack)
The finished product
Now when you open - the tomb will be empty - because
Jesus is ALIVE!
As you celebrate Easter Sunday, remember the real meaning of Easter and share it.
Christ is risen and lives in Born Again Believers!
Through Him we have Hope and Life Eternal!
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Have a Blessed and Happy Easter!
