My Thoughts:
Being a self-taught seamstress, and in spite of spending the last 25 years of my life at a sewing machine, there is still so much I feel like I don't know. I was thrilled to be able to get my hands on a book about stitches. Not only does this book include stitches, but also other key info on button holes, presser feet, thread, needles, and various types of machines.
It is unique in that, the author describes each stitch, and the main reason it is used. She also tell s different things each stitch can be used for. I learned a ton!
This book is one that will be on my shelf for a long time to come. It will definitely be used and referred to often. I was so excited to learn what all my presser feet were for, also new techniques I could use fancy stitches for.
This book will not disappoint. It is easy to understand, has pictures, diagrams, and expert tips.
Hi Amy! I have never been a sewer because my hands won't allow it. I love it and would love to make some beautiful things like quilts. I love reading about it, though! Thank you for sharing this great book!
