I received a copy of this book from the BookLook Blogger Program in exchange for my honest opinion. I am not required to give a positive review.

My Thoughts:
I requested this book for my daughter, age 6, as a practice book for a new reader. She does not yet excel in her reading skills, but is able to read a little of the book. Mostly for now... I had to read it for her.

The book consists of three separate stories with Brother and Sister bear. The first one is about a dark spooky cave and how God is with them as they go through it. It has verses incorporated throughout the story and encouragement to trust God.
The second story was about being afraid. Sister Bear is learning to trust God with her fears but she is still afraid of spooky shadows. Papa teaches her that shadows can be fun by making critter shadows on the wall. They also quote Scriptures on not being afraid and how God is watching over us.
The final story is about money. Brother Bear and Sister Bear learn to save. They learn how God wants them to use their money wisely and how saving makes your money grow. It ends with a cute surprise.

My daughter and I both enjoyed this book. I think it teaches valuable lessons for kids on trusting God and depending on Him. Mama and Papa Bear are instilling values in the cub bears as they teach them what Scripture says about the life issues they are dealing with. We look forward to reading another book in this Collection of Living Light books.
