Wholeheartedly Present

I am linking up here with the Five Minute Friday community. Once we get our "word" for the day - we have five minutes to write. No editing, just what flows from the heart.
Ready, Set, Start!

Last night my son was talking to me at bed time. The TV was going, he should have been brushing his teeth, my daughter and I were reading a book, and someone was texting me... OVERLOAD!!!

Honestly, I cannot say, I remember much of what he was telling me except that it had to do with his Pokemon DS game and something he had beat. It was more like blablabla.... blablabla... blablabla... I don't mean that ugly or rude, I was just really struggling to focus and understand what he was saying with all the other "stuff" going on around me.

As I was reading my Bible this morning, and thinking about the word prompt, what came to mind was this:
I need to be ALL HERE.
Focused on what I am doing in the moment and at that moment.
Sometimes that is just hard.
This verse came to mind, and it was pretty much where I was in my Bible reading anyhow (funny how those things work out).

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24(NIV)

I used the kids alphabet magnets to write on my fridge. HERE - Wholeheartedly Present
That is what I want to be! Whether I am listening, reading, teaching, cooking, cleaning, or even typing a blog post. I want to be ALL HERE!

Five minute Friday is a community of bloggers that links up together every Friday after writing for five minutes flat on the prompt that was given Thursday evening.
