Monday Madness

So.... how many of you are ready for Thanksgiving? And do you have and exciting plans?

What do you love most about thanksgiving? I love the gathering of friends or family to give thanks, enjoying good food and fellowship together. Is every thanksgiving perfect? No, sometimes family can't come, sometimes we may not feel well, but no matter what the circumstances, if we choose gratitude... our hearts can still find JOY. Because true JOY is a by product of knowing God and choosing thankfulness, not the circumstances that surround us. I hope that is what you are choosing this week, because odds are, the holidays will not be perfect.

I would love to hear about your Thanksgiving plans and traditions. Don't forget to enter the giveaway that ends this Friday! Details Here.

I am so excited about all the fun books I have been reading. Here's a peek at a few I will be reviewing soon.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving! I love sharing special moments with family. One year, when our family was not able to be together, my husband and I served Thanksgiving meals to the homeless at a local shelter. :-) I am thankful for family and friends.

    1. Melissa, I have always wanted to do that! It just seems like that is part of what thanksgiving is all about - giving back for all the blessings God has given to us. Usually we open our home to any of our friends who want to stop in, dont have family, etc... They are always welcome. My husband always takes a plate to several of the elderly neighbors who dont have places to go or cant get out!. What a joy it is to share.

  2. Our family always spends Thanksgiving together. We usually take turns hosting and often after the food has been eaten we play card games.

    1. That's a great attitude to have. Thanksgiving is about the memories we make, not so much the day we celebrate! I hope you guys have a wonderful time together even if you have to wait another day.

They will capture your heart, as well as you child's.  Each page consists of a different animal going to sleep, written in poetic style with the animal sound and name of the animal at then end of each prose. The last page affirms how God made all these animals and "me too"! The child will learn about ...
