Monday Madness

Well, I am running a little late on Monday's post, but thought I would at least share this picture of the raging creek waters in our back yard. It has been raining "cats and dogs" here for a couple of days. And our creek is really rolling. The following Psalm is an awesome expression of what I think of when I go out and watch it roar.

The Lord Reigns!
1The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
2Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
3The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
5Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.

I am steadily reading and attempting to get through my stack of books.
I am still reading Karen Kingsbury's book, A Moment of Weakness.
Her books are always a bit emotional and intense for me. I am not sure why. I get a little involved in the story I guess. It's a really good book! I had to jump ahead and read the end. I just couldn't help it. I will let you know more in a few days.
A Moment of Weakness (Forever Faithful, #2)
I also just finished reading The Amish Christmas Sleigh. This one includes three short novellas, and I will be reviewing it this week. Short and sweet!

I will also be reviewing The Devotional for Women.
I really like this one too! Can't wait to tell you all about it.

Hope you have a wonderful week, and continue to keep your heart focused on Jesus - the reason for the season!
