My Intentional Mondays

Happy Valentines Day!
a little late
but I hope you had a great one.
and
Happy Presidents Day
Hope you were one of the lucky ones to get a day off work.

We had a good week and busy weekend. Valentine's Day was just a regular Sunday, but we added a special touch of naming our food "love" names, giving each other cards and candy, and having a houseful of kids.

I don't have alot of Intentional "stuff" to mention today. I am just intentionally trying to get done what needs to be done. We had extras in and out all weekend long beginning Thursday through today, so really, I am just ready to sit and do nothing. (smile) I spent some time today just catching up, laundry, housework, etc...
We have had snow, rain, and a bit of sunshine this past week to make the weather interesting. Today just buckets and buckets of rain. I am sparing you the creek pictures again.

I finished reading
Definitely interesting and not one my son will be reading any time soon.
Check out my review on Wednesday.

I started reading
Only on chapter 5 but so far, its good.

On audio, I am listening to
After reading the Sea Keepers Daughter,
I just couldn't help but want to get the scoop on this one too.

Well, that's pretty much it for my week. Pretty mundane and run of the mill.
How about you?? Anything interesting going on? Snow, rain, sunshine? Any good books you are tackling?

  1. We had snow yesterday and freezing rain. Today, we have heavy rain and wind. Mechanicsville VA is definitely experiencing some strange weather. :-)

  2. Amy, what did you think of The Body under the Bridge? With Father Gilbert as the amateur protagonist, I thought it was going to be a classic British whodunit. Wow, was I ever wrong! And I don't like paranormal stuff at all - yet I loved this book! I ordered the audio set that Focus on the Family did because I want to learn more about Father Gilbert.

    1. Carole, My review will be up on Wednesday. But Oh! My! It was nothing like I expected, and yet, I could not put it down. And I have to admit, I would definitely read another one in the series inspite of the creepiness. I am not a paranormal girl either!! But something about the way this is written, makes it intriguing, unnerving and yet appealing. I think its the whole good vs evil, with good winning in the end. The unnerving part is that this is reality, although wrapped up in a made up plot. I like, you now have to listen to Father Gilbert. I have listened to a couple episodes and am hoping to get the whole set soon! Hooked!!

The pages are board book style with beautiful illustrations, brightly colored and full of the most adorable farm animals you've ever seen. They will capture your heart, as well as you child's.  Each page consists of a different animal going to sleep, written in poetic style with the animal sound and name of the animal at then end of each prose.
