Hidden in My Heart Scripture Memory Bible ~ Review

If you have a child who loves music, you will love this Bible!!

This Bible is such a great encouragement for kids to memorize Scripture. The Bible itself is NLT New Living Translation but it includes 100 core Scriptures for memorization. These are printed within the Bible in key locations alongside the corresponding places in the Bible itself. They are written in three translations NLT, NIV, and KJV. They have been bordered in green to stand out, and some of those locations also have a devotional type application along with the verses. Each verse has a song that goes along with it which is accessible online using the code in the front of the Bible. Your child will be able to sing their way to Scripture memorization. Personally, I think this aspect is awesome, since at least one of my children learn best in song.

The Bible I received is paperback, which I actually prefer over hardback, although I am not sure how durable it will be. The font is easy to read. Each book is highlighted in green, with an introduction to the book, author, and content. The front contains a User Guide to help the child get the best use out of his/her Bible. There is also a thematic memory verse plan listing the verses by themes such as sin, salvation, God's love, Honesty, Generosity, etc... At the back of the Bible there is a Core Verse list with boxes to check off as you memorize them and a challenge verse list in case  you would like to memorize more than just the Core 100. It also has a Digging Deeper section in which there are explanations and questions pertaining to the core 100 verses. There are quite a few other features I haven't listed that make this Bible special for any child. This Bible is promoted for age 3-10. Personally, I think age 3 may be a little young for the Bible but that age group could certainly hide God's Word in their hearts through song, while the older age of 6-10 will be able to take advantage of all the wonderful things this Bible has to offer.

I listened to several of the songs from the different versions included and really liked the music style and found them easy to sing along with and learn. I can't wait to share them with my children. I think it is a great way to hide God's Word in their hearts and my own!

I was blessed with a copy of this Bible through the Tyndale Blogging Network in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not required to review it positively.

Available TyndaleAmazon and other online retailers.
