Mission Possible by D. L. McCarragher

This book is definitely a must read for women who may be struggling in an unequally yoked marriage - whether their husbands are unsaved or saved and not living for the Lord. I found it to be very insightful and encouraging. Deborah shares her story of how she came to know the Lord before her husband and the difficulties she experienced as she attempted to live the Christian life yet still remain in her marriage to a man who didn't understand her need for God.

Some of the key points in this book are the importance of recognizing God's love for our husbands, their place in our home, not alienating them because of a difference in faith, seeing them through the eyes of Jesus, praying for them. Deborah helps us see that our walk with God even more than our talk can win our husbands. She reminds us that God's heart is for our husbands and prayer along with perseverance is the key to winning them. She encourages us not to give in to discouragement, walk away, or give up just because we are not seeing immediate results. God's work is not on our timetable.

Each chapter has key Scriptures to focus on as well as questions and verses to look up at the end. There is also a section for journaling and writing your thoughts and prayers. Deborah reminds us that battling for our mate is not for cowards, but God gives us the strength that we need to follow through and the benefits we will reap long term will be worth it in the end.

I received this book from Book Crash in exchange for my honest opinion. I would highly recommend this book to other women.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Deborah had a desire to publish her first book, MISSION POSSIBLE – Spiritual Covering for years, but it literally “sat on a spiritual shelf” until God released her to have it printed in late 2007. It has since been revised and re-released in 2015. The book addresses the struggles and difficulty of a marriage when one spouse finds the Lord first. Being unequally yoked after you are married presents a unique struggle.

Deborah’s mission is to encourage women through Scripture to believe in God’s Word to transform their husbands, and by challenging women to minister to their spouses in a way that glorifies God. The author’s candid approach makes this book an easy read, and compels the reader to join her in her quest to reach her husband for Christ. Alabaster Box Publishing’s motto is: Books to stir your mind & stretch your Soul!

Deborah began her journey of creative writing soon after coming to know Jesus as her personal Savior in 1989. She uses her spiritual gifts of teaching encouragement in her home church. She is also a small business owner of over thirty years. She and her husband reside in north Florida. They have one married son in the US military.

Deborah's primary goal is to share her personal testimony with others while bringing hope and practical help through her book.
