MY THOUGHTS:
I like this Bible from the moment I opened the box it came in! The hardback cover is attractive and "manly" with the grey toned mountains in the background and the striking yellow highlight offsetting the title and the words. Insight the books of the Bible are all in a brown color, as well as the titles in the chapters and the chapter numbers in each book. It includes the whole NIV text of all 66 books of the Bible.

But in addition to the Bible text, there are some wonderful resources in this Bible that will help a young man grow in the LORD. Inserted among the pages are devotionals, information about the Books of the Bible, and in depth studies on various men in the Bible. On the pages marked "Men of the Bible", a particular man is chosen for instance - Joshua, Gideon, Elijah, Paul, Thomas, Peter, and Pilot just to mention a few. There are 52! These pages include the meaning of their names, the passages of Scripture you can locate them in, their accomplishments or struggles and a summary of their lives. I found this very inspirational for young men seeking role models or wrestling with doubts.
There are also hundreds of daily devotional style readings interspersed amidst the pages by some great authors. These readings address a variety of subjects to help young men grow in the Lord and answer questions they may have concerning the faith, living for God, and many issue teens deal with today. For further study and understanding the back of the Bible contains a concordance and there are also many verses highlighted throughout the entire Bible.
Although NIV is not my version of preference (I am a KJV girl, myself, because that is what I was raised with) I still found this to be an extremely favorable Bible with many assets for any teen guy looking to grow in the Lord. I would say it is eye-catching enough to possibly even grab those teens who don't seem to have much interest in God, but deep down still have the same questions about life as the rest of us.
I was provided with a free copy of this Bible from Book Look to blog about. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
