Sarah Anne's Faithful Friends by Cathy Lynn Bryant and Jessica Marie Dorman

In less than two years, everything has changed for Sarah Anne. Distraught and in need of comfort, once again she accompanies her elderly friend, Mr. Hoyt, on a visit to see his family; however, not long after their arrival, a terrible tragedy occurs, leaving her with a difficult decision to make. When she finally decides between the two options, a new acquaintance seeks to force her to take the alternate path. Even though there are connections, each novel in the series may be read as a stand-alone.

My Thoughts:
I discovered Cathy and Jessica's writings last year when I read the third book in this series. I fell in love with Sarah Anne's character in that book. This book picks up with her story after several years have passed. Sarah is visiting friends after the loss of her husband. Her dear friend Joanna is expecting and on bed rest. Sarah does a wonderful job taking care of her boys while her friend is in need of rest. But once again tragedy strikes and Sarah must make some tough choices.

There were a few times when Sarah did not tell the truth about her circumstances that kind of got on my nerves, but I understand due to what she has been through and her current situation why she avoided the confrontation. Sarah typically tries to keep the peace at all cost. But thankfully, wise discerning people were also aware and able to come to Sarah's aid and bring light to the situation at hand.

Daniel,  Joanna's husband is a man of strength and character. I admire his thoughtfulness and care of Sarah in her time of need, as well as, his appreciation of her care for his family.

This book is somewhat predictable but also has some random twists to keep the reader on their toes. Once I began reading, I didn't want to put it down. The reading style seems somewhat proper and a bit void of much emotion, but I think this is mostly due to the time period as it seems to reflect that day and age. Personally, there were times I wanted to get some emotion going on! Especially, with Joanna's brother George, who really got on my nerves!!

I received this book compliments of the author for the purpose of review. All opinions are my own and I was not asked to give a positive review.
