My Take:
I have not yet read this Bible cover to cover, but I did read passages here and there, and also several of the articles and tidbits of information given. I found it very interesting and engaging.

Recently, I read some of the CSB Readers Bible and I really liked the way it was set up. It was easy to just read and kind of get lost in it, since there were no chapter and verse divisions. This one on the other hand has a lot of information to keep you busy reading here and there and checking out this or that. I actually learned a few things about other religions and their take on certain passages that I did not know by reading the twisted Scriptures.

I am not extremely familiar with this version of the Bible, but haven't found anything that I thought was very controversial in what I read so far. However, I don't know that this would become my preferred version or not, personally I grew up on KJV, but often enjoy reading other versions as a comparison and to better understand a passage. On that note, to each his own, as far as which version you enjoy reading.

The one thing that was brought to my attention that concerned me a bit is that the articles in this study Bible seem to be written by various people from different denominations. That just seems like it could possibly pose a problem if those denominations didn't necessarily believe the same and could be confusing if you are a new believer and using this Bible to decipher what to believe or how to share your faith. However, once again, I have not read every single article in this Bible, and the ones I read seemed to match up with what I believe. I just felt like that should be mentioned.

I received a copy of this Bible courtesy of B&H Publishing and Lifeway. I was not asked to review positively and all opinions are my own.
