My Take:
I have been interested in essential oils for a while now, but have really not had much knowledge of them at all other than what I hear people talking about on occasion. I got this book in hopes of learning a little more about how to use them and what to use them for. I have wanted to purchase some but want to know what I am doing before going out and spending a lot of money on something that is just going to end up on the shelf.

I felt like overall this book could be helpful. I have not yet tried any of the concoctions, but it does have a lot of useful information, recipes for treating certain ailments and how to use and put the oils together for beneficial results. I am eager to try some to see how they work.

One thing I felt would have made the book a little more appealing, was a few colorful pictures scattered throughout. Overall though, I was pleased with the amount of info and insight. I felt like I could use the book to get started. (There's even a chapter on the basics and getting started) He goes over the fundamentals, how to stock your cabinet, and basic recipes to use for all sorts of things.  The author also includes plenty of valuable information on using these oils to promote women's health, use with pets, and athletes.

Some of the information is hard to digest all at once, unless of course you have prior experience or knowledge of essential oils. So don't expect to understand it all the first time through. Take your time, read and re-read.

I was blessed with a copy of this book courtesy of Blogging for Books. I was not asked or required to review it positively.
