Here's one more book in the CAN-DO KIDS SERIES, that I just love. Seriously, if you haven't checked out the other books in the series, you really should.
This one addresses self-control. There are so many kids out there who don't seem to be able to sit still, talk quietly, listen, pay attention, and control their tempers. This book is a wonderful tool to use to help them find ways to do just that!
This book talks about ways to manage their emotions such as when they are mad, taking a deep breath to calm down. Or when they can't be still, pushing on a wall. There are lots of effective techniques the kids can practice such as eating healthy, sitting on their hands, drinking plenty of water, etc...
I think when kids read these books it could be very enlightening. Not like an adult just telling you want to do. These are ways they can make choices to help themselves by themselves. It's a pretty amazing tool. It also has discussion questions in the back and tips for adults. What a great asset for parents, counselors, and teachers to use.
I was blessed with a copy of this book courtesy of the author, but was not asked to review positively. All opinions of this book are my own.
