Blades of Valor by Sigmund Brouwer

Travel with Thomas from Jerusalem to England in this exciting conclusion to the Merlin's Immortals series.
Blades of Valor: Book Four in the Merlin's Immortals series (Merlins Immortals Series) by [Brouwer, Sigmund]Thomas is finally in the Holy Land and reunited with Sir William, but is forced to travel on his own from the coast through Nazareth, and finally to Jerusalem. The road is a dangerous one—especially to a lone traveler. Bandits masquerade as slaves, traitors appear to be allies, and once again, Thomas doesn’t know whom to trust. He must rely on his own resources to discern friend from foe, and to finally discover the final key to the Druids' master plan before returning home to expose them.

Back in England, a final storm is brewing against Thomas, for the Druids are much more powerful than the Orphan King can even imagine.

Meet Sigmund Brouwer:

Whether writing youth or adult fiction, Sigmund Brouwer is a best-selling author of more than 40 fast-paced novels. He loves going to schools to get kids excited about reading, reaching roughly 80,000 students a year through his Rock&Roll Literacy Show.

Sigmund is married to songwriter recording artist Cindy Morgan. The couple and their two young daughters divide their time between Red Deer, Alberta and Nashville, Tennessee.

My Thoughts:
My son has read all the books in this series - this one being the last. He has enjoyed them all. Sadly, this one was only available on e-book, but that did not deter him.

This is what he had to say about it:
"After reading the rest of the series, I knew that I had to read the conclusion to Thomas’ story. I am a big fan of Thomas and his companions, and have generally not been able to put their books down until the end. This story was no different. I felt the emotion of the characters as I read; their pain was my pain, their joy was my joy, their sorrow was my sorrow. Sigmund Brouwer weaved a masterful end to the tale of Thomas in writing this book. This ending to the series leaves you fulfilled, yet longing for more. I for one would definitely be up for a sequel series to this. Maybe a spin-off about Sir William? In any case, I highly recommend this book, in fact, this entire series. Sigmund has ended Thomas’ story in a way that brought the events of the story full circle, and made it feel all the more real."

The publisher kindly provided a copy of this book for my son to read. I was not asked to review this book. All opinions are our own!
