Becoming a REAL Warrior

Most boys would love to be a warrior! They want to fight battles, win,conquer! In this book, "Once upon a real time..." a boy named Luke, dreams of becoming a courageous warrior. He wants to be noble and brave, but he has one small problem.... He is afraid!

In a world of baseball and backyard camp-outs, there seems to be much to fear: bullies, the dark, strange noises... During a camp-out with some friends, Luke has a strange dream of enrolling in Warrior Prince Academy. There he is taught lessons in bravery, who the real enemy is, and how to face his fears. After an exciting adventure, Luke discovers what it means to be a true warrior. How as a Christian, he must only go to battle when he is called and rely on God's strength -not his own to lead him to victory.

This book is for 3 to 8 year olds. My son, who is 7, really enjoyed this book, and I loved it myself! His favorite part: "How Luke stood up to the snake even though he was afraid." My son loves to pretend he is a warrior. How much more important is it that he realizes that he really is a warrior -God's warrior prince. When we become God's children, we are all princes and princesses, because our father is the King of Kings. I would highly recommend this book for any young child. At the end of the book, there is a gospel message about how they can become a warrior prince, a prayer, and a royal proclamation to sign and date the day they accepted Jesus as Savior and became His Warrior.
