I was blessed with this Bible by BookLook Blogging program in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was not required to give a positive review.

My Thoughts:
I was fascinated with this Bible from the minute I took it out of the box. I have been looking for a Bible my first grader can read on her own, as I am trying to instill a daily personal devotional time with my children. This is probably more of a second/third grade level, unless you have an advanced reader. The words are easier to read than those of a regular Bible, although the publishers claim to keep it as close as possible to the Greek original. That is certainly a concern of mine so I looked up several verses that were kind of key to me.
For example: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." KJV
This Bible quotes it as: "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life."
Although the wording is easier the content seems to be the same.

This Bible not only has a beautiful and attractive cover (the one I received had 3D Motion on the cover), but also has very bright colorful pages on the inside and lots of Bonus material.  My copy was hardback. There are pages that explain Life in Bible Times, such as people and places, so the child can get an idea of how life back then compares to the present. There's a  Live It! section that helps them apply it to their daily life. Also included, special Words to Treasure, which specifically picks out wonderful verses the kids should memorize. There are maps, a dictionary and may more features.  I do not know if all of these Bibles have the 3D cover, but it is a nice added bonus feature, and makes it very appealing.

My daughter's birthday is coming up soon and I can't wait to give this to her. I know she is going to be excited!
