I just love mornings!
I know not everyone does.
I love the stillness and quiet, the slow change as the world wakes up and the majestic show the Creator puts on as creation follows His orders.
I wish words could describe the amazing sunrise I witnessed this morning. Picture this: sky - dark with gray clouds scattered amidst a tiny bit of lighter gray as the horizon begins to turn apple red.
Slowly the red becomes orange, then yellow, as more light appears and finally the golden sun rises above the horizon and shines brightly for a few minutes. Soft light snowflakes drift slowly to the ground. And once again the clouds take over the sky and the day becomes overcast again.
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky proclaims the work of His hands.
Psalm 19:1
This week, Be Intentional!
Take time to stop and enjoy the beauty of God's creation all around you. God's Word says He is revealed in His creation.
For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.
Romans 1:20
Well, my past week went by in a flurry. My oldest officially became an adult! We had the usual life stuff to take care of, dentist appointments, shopping for a jr bridesmaid dress (well that one is a bit in unusual) school work, house work, and the week was over! Oh my!
I didn't get as much reading done as I would have liked, but I am still plugging along on my TBR pile.
I finished up Between Sundays by Karen Kingsbury on audio. And started listening to The Garden of Madness. I have wanted to read that one for a long time now, so I was excited to catch it on audio.
Currently I am reading:
The Peaceful Wife
Catch of a Lifetime
And still working on finishing With This Ring and The Sea Keeper's Daughter. I am enjoying it, it is just quite long and I really have to concentrate or I feel like I will miss something.
I am working on sewing some Bible covers this week and may be able to share that by Saturday. I made one for my daughter for Christmas, and now am making a few for a friend.
Well that's my week in a nutshell. This week I will be reviewing a kids devotional,a fiction, and maybe some thing else, pending how my week plays out.
A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD determines his steps.
Proverbs 16:9
What a busy week you've had. I am over 50 years old and wanted to learn how to sew when I was a teenager. My grandmother tried to teach me but gave up when she discovered I had no knack for sewing.Lol. So I congratulate you on your sewing talent.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathy for stopping by. It is never too late to learn something new. Maybe things have changed enough that now you will actually be great at it. I would love to hear of you decide to try. And I really can't take credit for my talent. I am just learning how to cultivate what God gave me.
