Meet Author JANICE THOMPSON, who lives in the Houston area, writes novels, non-fiction, magazine articles, and musical comedies for the stage. The mother of four married daughters, she is quickly adding grandchildren to the family mix.

My Thoughts:
My youngest daughter, who's eleven, and I have gotten hooked on these books since we read the first one in the series - Elizabeth. We enjoyed that one and have read Bailey and now Kate. She is now "in love" with the Camp Club Girls and their adventures.

Kate has some pretty interesting mysteries to solve in this book and most of them are solved with at least one other camp club girl present. The individual books in this book are slightly longer than the first two books with around 16 chapters instead of 12. They seemed a little more drug out than the others but still very entertaining. We read them out of order too. My daughter just picked the one that sounded interesting and we started with it. They are all stand alone.

These books have been compared to Nancy Drew, however, they don't seem to have criminals quite as dangerous. They also have more faith references and values. Each of the Camp Club Girls has something unique they bring to the equation, whether prayer, or some type of sleuthing skill.

I would definitely recommend these books for tweens who love friends and adventures.

I received an ebook Netgalley copy courtesy of the publisher. I was not asked or required to review positively.
