I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Bethany grew up in small town of Peaks, but has left for good. She has no desire to return, or does she? Unexpected circumstances bring her back. The longer she stays, the harder she finds it is to get away. She is torn by her choices. Bethany has no relationship with God, although she grew up in church. Her used-to-be best friend is suffering a tragedy, and her grandfather passes away leaving her his farm (with a catch of course). Bethany thought she had her life all figured out until now. She has no idea where to turn, what to make of God, or how to fix her life. Does the Peaks still hold something for her? Can she find God again? Katie does a great job in this book. As you read the story, and get to know Bethany, Robin, and Evan you will feel like you are part of their story. I really enjoyed this book by Beverly Lewis. It was a bit different from the other Amish series of hers I have read in the past, but I was hooked from the get-go.   In the Fiddler, the Englisher, Amelia is a concert violinist. She is also a "secret" country music fiddler. Leading this double life is getting old, but she is not sure what to do. While she has grown up playing concerts and taking the finest violin lessons in a very up grade society, she also desires to do something new and fresh with her life. She wants to help people and take her love for music to a whole new level, but is afraid to do so because she does not want to hurt her father's feelings.  On a stormy night, she meets Michael, and Amish man who is also seeking what God wants for his life.
