A Blackguard's Redemption by Ta'Mara Hanscom - Review

Welcome back to Day Three of Caselli Series Blog-a-Thon with Ta'Mara Hanscom. The saga continues...   Tragedy, Mystery, and so much more! Book Three - A Blackguard’s Redemption picks up where Pit of Ambition left off. Noah has  discovered the identity of his beloved Angel and he schemes a way to have words with her alone at church. Tillie is not at all happy with the situation. Surprisingly, she is still extremely angry with Noah for what transpired between the two of them more than eleven years before. She makes Noah promise that he will not ever tell Alex, or any of her brothers. Noah agrees.

Pit of Ambition by Ta'Mara Hanscom - A Review

Thank you for returning to the third day of my blog-a-thon! Today's book - PIT OF AMBITION - Book 2 of the Casselli Series Rosa begged Guiseppi to reveal their prayers to Angel.  But Guiseppi was stubborn…and the thing with Alex went too far.  Guiseppi buried Noah’s identity deep within himself and demanded that Rosa do the same. Now Guiseppi is tempted to tell Angel the secret that is crushing his heart—but Noah will find out first!

The Pretender by Ta'Mara Hanscom - A Review

Thank you for coming back to the second day of my blog-a-thon! Today's book - THE PRETENDER - Book 1 of the Casselli Series My Jean-Marc’s uncle was married to an English woman, and she told us once, a very long time ago, that in this world there are men of two kinds. The one, the knight, is the man possessing only strength and quality of moral character. He will never ask a lady to compromise her honor for less than a vow, and never, ever will he consider another once he has captured her heart. A knight keeps his vow, even when it hurts, and the honor of a knight is a thing a country is built upon. A knight comes along only seldom these days.

Meet the Caselli Family and Author Ta`Mara Hanscom

This week I will be hosting a week long blogathon about the Caselli Series -introducing, reviewing, and finally interviewing author Ta`Mara Hanscom. I hope you will join me each day. I fell in love with the Caselli's  last year... Whe n I read Book V, The Truth , in Ta`Mara Hanscom's Caselli Family Series .  And I want to introduce you this family! I think y ou will fall in love with them just as I have and they will always be a part of your life.  Although they are fictional humans, (and at first I thought they were real - I was googling them) their family values are godly with high standards. They base them on God's word and the gentlemen in the family are referred to as Knights .  Any man who does not hold a godly standard is referred to as a Blackguard .

Partly Cloudy with Scattered Worries by Kathy Miller - A Review

I received this book in exchange for my review. This post contains a small amount of advertisement. "And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life span?" ~ Matthew 6:27 Are you a chronic worrier? Or maybe you worry and don't even realize it. God's Word tells us not to worry, but how when there is sooo much to worry about? Regardless of the storms of trials, temptations, worry, uncertainty, or regrets that you're facing, you can trust God. Let this book increase your faith and trust in God, and you'll experience the peace you desire. Its conversational style, personal testimonies, practical illustrations, and solid biblical teaching provide the tools you need to break the hold and overcome the devastating effects of worry.

Riley Mae and the Rock Shocker Trek by Jill Osborne - Review

Blessed with this book in exchange for an honest opinion. If you’re gonna run for your life, you gotta wear the right shoes. Riley Mae Hart loves sports and action - so when the Swift-river Shoe Company offers her a contract to be the spokesperson for their new outdoor sport collection, she jumps at the chance. Soon she’s appearing in commercials and magazine ads, and every girl in town wants to wear Riley Mae shoes. Well, except for Riley. Because walking in those shoes means missing out on softball season, making her best friend TJ mad, and embarrassing her new friend, Rusty. It also means sneaking around, hiding, and keeping secrets - because suddenly something isn’t quite right at Swift-river. But a contract’s a contract, so Riley laces up her “Rock Shocker” hiking boots for a climb up Half-Dome in Yosemite. Will they be the right shoes to get her back on solid ground?

He Is Risen!

Matthew 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Every year I try to take advantage of opportunities to share with others and to tell the kids about the True Reason why we Celebrate Easter.  Something other than the commercialism that seems to be everywhere.  So we made  Resurrection Rolls. They are so simple and taste good and most of all tell a powerful story. (I did it on Thursday, because I just believe that was the day Jesus died)

Have You Seen It?

Have you seen it yet?   They say its good!

What Follows After by Dan Walsh - Revell Blog Tour

I received this book in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Some advertisement included. In 1962, life was simple, the world made sense, and all families were happy. And when they weren't, everyone knew you were supposed to pretend. For the past year, Scott and Gina Harrison have been living a lie. While they show up at family get-togethers in the same car, they've actually been separated for over a year. To keep up the charade, they've even instructed their sons, Colt and Timmy, to lie--to their grandparents, their teachers, and their friends. Colt, for one, has had enough, so he hatches a plan. He and his little brother will run away from their Florida home, head for their aunt's house in Georgia, and refuse to come home until their parents get back together.

One With Christ by Hudson Taylor

I found this book at our library book sale in the last couple weeks and picked it up mostly because I have great admiration for Hudson Taylor and have read other books by him in the past. This was a very interesting description of the Song of Solomon as it relates to the church as Bride and Christ as Bridegroom.  It's personal!

Tide and Tempest by Elizabeth Ludwig

This book was provided in exchanged for my unbiased opinion. Two years ago, her fiance perished  during their voyage to America. Now she discovers it may have been murder... Dreaming of a better life, Tillie McGrath leaves Ireland behind and, with her beloved fiance by her side, sets sail for America. But when illness robs her of the man she holds dear, she's left alone with only a handful of tattered memories. While forging on proves difficult, Tillie soon finds some new friends at her New York boardinghouse, and begins pursuing a new dream--to open a home for orphaned children.
