Do Not Be Afraid! by Messianic Rabbi K.A. Schneider

I received this book in exchange for my review, a small amount of advertisement is included in the post. Do you live full of fear? This world is a very uncertain place, but... You Can Live Without Fear!   For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 Everyone deals with fear; not everyone conquers it. Throughout our lives we all experience different kinds of fears. Unfortunately, many of us believe the lie that fear is something we have to live with. You don't! According to Scripture, God desires every one of His children to be free from fear-including you! In Do Not Be Afraid!, Rabbi K.A. Schneider shares personal testimony of how he struggled with, and experienced victory over fear-and how you too can walk in this same supernatural freedom.  This book shows you how to:

Undercover cop Mason Taylor has been working with Rafael to find his brother and bring the cartel thugs who hold him to justice. Can he talk Rafael down from his impulsive actions? And is there something more sinister at work here than he realizes?

The Fragrance of Crushed Violets by Cathy Bryant - Review and GIVEAWAY

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review. This post contains a small amount of advertisement. "Forgiveness isn't natural; it's supernatural." A Bible study about forgiveness... What do we do when a loved one, boss, co-worker, friend, or enemy seem determined to bring us down through an attack? How do we handle it when their assault is personal, public, deep, unjust, unfair, and unfounded? Take it one step further. How do we deal with meaningless acts of destruction and death, say in something similar to the Twin Towers incident or a school shooting, especially when the offender shows no remorse? Do we file it in our brains and rack it up to "one more senseless act" and chance to think that God somehow messed up?  In short, how do we move past the hurt and anger to a place of forgiveness?

The Illusion of MORE by Harris III

I received this book for review. This post contains a small amount of advertisement. Is the grass really greener on the other side...Or is this the ultimate illusion? The first man and woman were closer to God than any other creature on Earth. They had everything they could have ever wanted: healthy, timeless bodies, an endless supply of food and water, and a beautiful garden in which to live and play. Still, they reached for the mirage of MORE. What is the great illusion that each of us falls prey to in life? More. More money = more contentment. More things = more satisfaction. More success = more happiness. Like Adam and Eve, we still reach for the forbidden today. No matter which way we turn, we're tricked into believing that what God has provided isn't enough. And THAT is where the ultimate illusion begins. Join Master Illusionist Harris III on an unforgettable journey, as he shows you how to:

Kayden and Jake soon realize that the death was no accident. And worse, it seems the killer is on to them. When strange things begin happening in Yancey, Jake is terrified that once again his world may put someone he loves in danger.

Pulling Back the Shades by Dannah Gresh and Dr. Juli Slattery

I received this book from iconmediagroup in exchange for my review. Today the book I am reviewing broaches a topic many Christians shy away from. And to be honest, when first approached to review this book I wasn't really sure I wanted to, or would be comfortable covering this on the blog. About The book: Christian women don't have to choose between being sexual and spiritual. They have legitimate longings that the Church has been afraid to talk about, and books like  Fifty Shades of Grey  exploit. Whether you are single or married, sexually dead or just looking to revive your sex life,  Pulling Back the Shades  will address your desire to be both sexual AND spiritual. With solid Biblical teaching and transparent stories, trusted authors Dannah Gresh  and Dr. Juli Slattery, offer an unflinching look at the most personal questions women ask. The book offers practical advice for wom...

Ponderings....

This morning I was reading a book I am probably already supposed to have reviewed. It spoke to me about some things in my life I need to be working on and I wrote a prayer to the LORD.  Asking Him once again to help me get lost in HIM. That when people see me, they won't see my "good deeds", my accomplishments, my "talents", instead they will see Jesus.  How that ties in exactly with what I write next, maybe won't be as obvious to you, but it made sense to me. smile I turned on the computer to check emails. He sent me two. The  First one from Kathi Lipps Blog -  What Our Kids Want More Than a Pinterest Perfect Birthday Cake God spoke to me: The words that stood out - " Present over perfect." I just want to be present , enjoy each day to the fullest with my children, my family, my friends, and serving the Lord. The Second :  For Whose Glory  on Allume by Kayse In this post she talks about pride and distraction. Once again, both of the...

Saturday Smiles

My grandfather passed away a few years ago, but remembering him always brings a SMILE to my face. Growing up on the mission field did not allow for alot of time with grandparents, but the times we did have together hold many dear and precious memories. What do you have to smile about today?
